New & Improved
— Michael Kimmelman, New York Times
All of NYC, especially Central Harlem, is in critical need of housing. The crisis is worse now than it was 18 months ago and will continue to worsen without better job opportunities, increased wages, and upward mobility. Providing housing is only part of the solution, it must also include culturally sensitive programming and tailored services that support economic growth for its residents and community.
Newly imagined, One45 is going to lead the way. Now in partnership with Concern Housing, a
world-class non-profit Affordable Housing Agency, we propose to build a significant amount of high-quality affordable housing designed specifically for those in need. The entire development will include approximately 920 new homes, exciting retail & commercial spaces, inclusive community facilities and a few more surprises.
One45 will be built to meet the existing needs of the local community & its longstanding residents, while serving as the foundation for the future generations of Harlem. It will create a large number of desperately needed homes, high-paying jobs, economic opportunities, recreation & community space, and infrastructure upgrades that will transform the existing streetscape.
